Edwards Takes 4-Day S.C. Bus Tour

Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards has kicked off a four-day campaign bus tour of South Carolina.The former North Carolina senator started with a town hall meeting in Summerville. He warned about 100 supporters the future of the middle class is at stake in this year's election. He said some experts estimate the nation could lose 30 million jobs in the next ten years.Edwards will be in Beaufort County for a similar event at the Penn Center on St. Helena Island.
Edwards is a South Carolina native. He won the South Carolina primary in 2004 and is hopes for a repeat.He also began running a new television ad in the state Friday.The South Carolina Democratic primary is Jan. 26. Edwards was second in Iowa and third in New Hampshire.
