Romney Relocates, Moves From Cars To Textiles

POSTED: 5:27 pm CST January 16, 2008

Mitt Romney has moved from cars to textiles.

The GOP presidential candidate spent Wednesday in South Carolina, and addressed the regions loss of textile and other industrial jobs.

Romney's talk of resurrecting the auto industry helped him in Michigan, but by Wednesday, he was pledging to pay attention to those textile job losses.

He spoke to a group of senior citizens at the Sun City Hilton Head Retirement Center in Bluffton.

Romney says he won't declare defeat on any industry where the U.S. can be competitive.
