Browns' QB Anderson Could Be Out For Season

Quarterback Injured In Loss To Indianapolis

Cleveland Browns quarterback Derek Anderson left Sunday's 10-6 loss to Indianapolis late in the fourth quarter with a sprained ligament in his left knee that will likely end his season.

The injury occurred on a sack by Robert Mathis with 1:07 remaining in the game. Anderson had to be helped off the field. Ken Dorsey entered the game and proceeded to throw two incompletions and an interception that ended Cleveland's comeback bid.

After the game, Anderson believed he suffered a strained MCL but will learn more following a thorough examination Monday.

Recently relegated to backup, Anderson got the start Sunday after Brady Quinn's season ended because of a fractured right index finger. He threw for just 110 yards on 16-of-26 passing in the loss to the Colts.
